Daniel Maloney

He is a versatile and skilled architect with the ability to lead projects which meet both technically complex briefs and deliver well considered design.

Daniel is experienced in leading projects from inception through to completion, including all stages of briefing, concept design, design development, detailing, and contract administration. He works well within a team, and has a natural skill for working with Clients and Consultants.

Daniel has significant new build and refurbishment experience, with completed schemes for King’s College London, Emanuel School, London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, and the Medical Research Council, as well as many others. Prior to joining BMJ in 2017, Daniel was responsible for developing master-planning proposals for parts of the historic Middle Temple site in London.

Daniel studied architecture at The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, where he was awarded the Fitzroy Robinson Prize for drawing. Daniel’s eye for design continues to be expressed through hand drawings, used as a tool for developing and resolving design challenges. Outside the Studio, Daniel enjoys painting, and making, as well as sailing his home-built sailing dinghy on the River Thames.
