Steve joined BMJ in 2017 and brought with him 41 years’ experience within the healthcare design and medical planning which included during his career small refurbishment to private and public health [NHS] hospitals and larger healthcare project as part of the design team. Steve is currently working on the King’s College Hospital New Critical Care Unit. This is a unique facility where the new building is being constructed above an existing fully functioning operating theatre department and CCU. His career has seen involvement with many types of healthcare building, whether part of an Architectural design team or embedded within the client’s own estate. His roles included clinical design from the initial scheme design through to completion, across all stages of the design process. New build, traditional or PFI, P21, P21+ Contractor / Consortium Lead Projects. Steve has specialist architectural knowledge and experience in these healthcare design.

Steve is methodical and practical in approach, and highly motivated to provide the best possible healthcare facilities both for the patients and staff. He is a proficient designer with a medical planning background, using 2D Autocad, ADB and other Medical databases Medical Planning Software.
