BMJ Architects designed the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Teaching and Learning Facility for NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde in partnership with the University of Glasgow.

A World-Class Research Institute

The £25m building provides a dedicated training environment for the clinical years of the undergraduate medical degree, as well as learning facilities for NHS professionals. It supports the training of future doctors, scientists and clinical academics, helping improve services for patients and communities.

Concept and Strategy

The four-storey facility includes three floors of learning, teaching, social and public spaces. Key accommodation includes a 500-seat auditorium, conference space, lecture and seminar rooms, a flexible teaching laboratory, a 12-bed clinical skills facility, learning resources centre, e-library and knowledge exchange area.
